Ever since tenpin bowling became a favorite recreational sports in America in the early 20th century, bowling shirts have occupied the top priority so far as bowling accessories are concerned. There are various reasons why it became so. First, just as in any other sports, competing bowling teams need to look different from others so that they can easily and quickly identify themselves. Therefore, they put on unique bowling costumes. Second, having bowling jerseys will make you look more professional. This way people can see you are a serious player, and not one who came to kill his time at the lanes. Third, getting the right looking bowling apparel will make you look cool and, in fact, make you blend with the surrounding.

You will find there are varied designs in bowling shirts. The most popular being Retro, Vintage, T-shirts, Polo T-shirts, Custom, and so on. Pick the style that will make you look not only cool but also comfortable. It is important to look good. It will make you feel great, and make you bowl better. Choose a material that is nice to wear. You do not want to adorn a beautiful apparel but not feel comfortable. The best material is cotton, or cotton blend. They can absorb more sweat and give your skin enough air to breathe. Put on a cool and comfortable bowling shirt and you will find that you get more strikes than before.

There are plenty of stores offering great looking bowling shirts cheap. You only need to know where to find them. If you do not want to spend a lot of time hunting for the right looking gear at the right price, you do not want to cruise around from store to store. If you do not have all the time in the world, the best place to look will be the online Stores. You will find a wide range of styles, colors, and fabric to choose from. Best of all you get your favorite bowling shirt right at your doorstep.

You will get the best bargains when you buy in bulk. This way you get the wholesale price, which is much lower than the normal retail price. Buy wholesale if you want to keep a good collection of spare bowling shirts. Also, it is best to buy in bulk if you are shopping for your bowling team.

Watch out for discount offers. The offers usually come when bowling leagues begin in your city. Bowling shirt manufacturers mass produce them just before the season. Producing in bulk cuts the cost of production. This way they are able to offer the costumes at a much cheaper rates.

Sometimes you will find that stores selling at flat rate generally have good quality and cool designs. If you are not looking for a particular style, but are comfortable with any good looking bowling apparel, the flat rate stores will serve your purpose.

There is one important thing to remember. Sometimes you may get great looking bowling shirts cheap, but they may not offer you cheap shipping. Some bowling shirts may have a bigger price tag, but they may offer free shipping. Do a mental calculation, in fact, you might save money at the end when you get free shipping.

Another way to find bowling shirts cheap is to buy blank apparels. They are much cheaper. This will be particularly good if you are thinking of having unique looking bowling team shirts. You can custom design it and print a cool logo of the team on your backs. Unless you want to look regular, your custom made bowling team shirts can attract eyeballs.

We have seen there are several ways to get awesome looking bowling costumes cheap. However, consider some points before you buy the first cheap bowling apparel you find in the stores. Think of how it is going to enhance your performance at the alleys. Consider the looks, design, material, brand, and so on. Whichever you pick it should make you look good, feel good, and comfortable. Go ahead! get your pick, and let us see how you score the strikes!

More and more people are starting karate classes and there is no better way to compliment your dojo training, than looking at resources that enable you to learn karate online.

Not just individuals, thousands of families around the world are realizing the physical and psychological benefits of attending karate classes. When the families get home from karate training, the parents, just like individuals, are online, looking for the karate moves that they just practiced at the dojo.

In today’s fast paced world, it is great to be able to access karate tutorials online. You can then learn karate online, from anywhere and at any time, the internet truly is, an incredible phenomenon.

Saying that, there are some words of caution when trying to learn karate online.

1. You have no Sensei (teacher), watching over you at home.
2. Bad habits can quickly develop.
3. It is sometimes hard to focus, when you are practicing on your own.
4. When practicing the karate kata (forms), space may be an issue.

So here are a few tips to apply when trying to learn karate at home.

1. I always make a quick note of the karate moves, I am about to practice.
2. When I have finished each exercise, I always tick or cross out, on my list of karate moves
3. Be strict with your time allotted for each exercise and STICK to it.
4. If you can, at the next karate class, ask your sensei to check your karate techniques.

The internet is an incredible resource and training tool, try not to just work on technique, look into the history and philosophy of the martial arts. As master Gichin Funakoshi said, ‘The ultimate aim of the art of Karate lies not in victory or defeat, but in the perfection of the characters of its participants’. Ossu!

Sometimes you will hear Pradal Serey being called Bradahl Serei. This style of Kickboxing comes out of Cambodia. This Combat Sport style was originally used in Battle, but now Cambodia considers it one of their National Sports. Modern Rules have caused some of the moves they used to have changed a little bit. The main focus of this sport is to win a competition as it is a rule based sport. Similar to Muay Thai Boxing, this sport focuses in 4 major strikes which originate from the knees, elbows, fists and feet.

The clinch is also used as a way or tiring and fatiguing their opponent. Pradal Serey uses more stealth and and shifty fighting stances which differentiates them from most other forms of Southeast Asian Style Kickboxing forms. Elbows are also used more often than in a lot of other styles. The elbow has been responsible for more wins than any other strike used. Fighting has been going on within the Southeast Asia Region since ancient times. Eventually Combat Sports developed as a result of this.

The Khmers in the Angkor Era developed and used armed and unarmed martial arts styles. In fact there was a style that closely resembled Pradal Serey around the 10th Century. People think this could be the reason that the Khmers had such great success in Southeast Asia during that time period. Angkor also used an ancient form of this Combat Sport with other weapons as well as War Elephants to go to war against Champa from Cambodia and Siam from Thailand. Around the 10th century, they controlled most of Cambodia, as well as Laos, Thailand and Vietnam.

Because of this, Cambodia has had a huge impact on Lao as well as Thai Culture. The Khmer have a belief that Kickboxing in Southeast Asia started with the Mon Khmer. Many Europeans around the Colonial Period were not in favor of Pradal Serey because they considered it too brutal.

The French adopted the idea of this sport but made some enhancements to it, which included timed rounds and the use of boxing gloves to prevent excessive injury. In the old days matches used to take place in dirt pits with rope wrapped hands and very few rules. Seashells were even wrapped around the knuckles of some boxers to make the fights more brutal.

Brazilian jiu-jitsu is a sacred martial art that has been studied and practiced for many decades now. It revolutionized martial arts as we know it today due to the fact that it enabled a much smaller man to incapacitate and defeat a larger opponent, a feat though to be nearly impossible by conventional standards at the time of the styles creation. Using leverage and the joints in the body against each other, Brazilian jiu-jitsu, better known as BJJ, when utilized properly, can allow a small man to take down and defend himself against much stronger people, thus becoming a worldwide sensation upon discovery.

One of the most famous chokes is the guillotine choke, aptly named as it causes severe pressure on the neck of the assailant/opponent (although it shouldn’t decapitate the opponent if applied correctly). The choke itself can be utilized in 2 separate ways, both rendering the opponent unconscious if applied for long enough periods of time. One of the methods is a tracheal choke, compressing the trachea and preventing oxygen flow to the lungs, and the other blocks blood flow to the brain, both resulting in an unconscious opponent.

It can be applied while in a standing position as well as on the ground. Additionally, one can begin the move in a standing position and “pull guard” and pull the opponent down with you, cutting off his ability to spring an attack. This allows you to control the opponent better and make sure he cannot run off or throw knees into your body or groin. Pulling guard is often thought to be a risky type of move due to the fact that if your opponent pulls out of the choke, he is now on top of you completely and can reign down blows on your body. This is why you must be careful when pulling your assailant down; be sure that your hold is firm and he cannot escape.

When practicing with a friend or fellow BJJ teammate, it is important to understand that serious injury can occur if you hold the choke too long. Signaling that you’re about to go to sleep or that you cannot get out of the hold is very important and is almost universally achieved with a tapping motion, either on your opponent’s body to let them know of the tap out, or on the mat loud enough for a referee to hear.

What is the art of T’ai Chi and how is it practiced? T’ai Chi is a Chinese system of boxing exercises and meditative movements that dates back to ancient times. Meaning “supreme ultimate fist,” Tai Chi Chuan originated as a form of martial art. But rather than relying on the swift aggressive kicks and power punches that are seen in various other forms, it incorporates slow, thoughtful, nuanced movements to confound attackers and opponents.

It is believed that a monk named Chang Seng Feng was the founder. According to legend, Master Chang once dreamed that a crane and a snake were ensnared in a fight. Regarding the dream as a divine sign, he launched a study of it and developed the 13 postures that comprise T’ai Chi. This early beginning of Tai Chi has developed into the art practiced today.

A few years after Master Chang presented his 13 movements, numerous other masters created their own unique forms. As a result, a variety of styles became popular, with three particular types favored: the Chen, Yang and Wu styles. Of these three, the Yang form became a favorite; meanwhile even more styles continued to emerge and had their own followers.

Is Tai Chi popular today? For the most part, the combat aspect is no longer practiced. Ancient martial arts like these require full-fledged commitment and discipline if the learner is to excel, but nowadays many students take a more casual approach and find it hard to maintain an interest in Kung Fu and other forms of Chinese martial arts. Added to that, it’s a reality that Chinese martial arts masters choose only the best students to work with – another factor that has led to the slow demise of the martial art over the past decade or so.

How is Tai Chi regarded in modern times? Interestingly, while it has lost a lot of its appeal as a martial art, many people are practicing it as part of their health and exercise regimen. Many people began registering for classes at dojos, or schools, and as a result the demand for Tai Chi masters escalated. Now there are government-sponsored training centers for the public. It’s not uncommon to see groups of Tai Chi practitioners in parks and other quiet spots.

Is there a single definition for Tai Chi? Above all else, it is a martial art, developed in ancient China. That’s an indisputable fact. The flowing, gentle moves of T’ai Chi belie the genuine strength and power of this martial art form. The number of moves in a various form range from 24, to 40, to 108, and carrying them out properly demands heightened concentration and physical effort. But these are the elements that have made Tai Chi such an effective exercise workout, as they are similar to strenuous aerobics routines.

The ancient art continues to have an endless number of uses even today. And while it is rarely used for combat purposes, Tai Chi is a widely practiced in a number of other ways and continues to be appreciated.
