The San Diego Chargers signed Ryan Mathews while the Buccaneers came to terms with 3rd overall pick Gerald McCoy. Given that San Diego is counting heavily on Mathews to be their top running back this year, his signing will have a major impact on the teams projected preseason standing.
Currently, San Diego is a 9 to 1 Super Bowl favorite. The San Diego Chargers obtained Mathews with the 12th total pick. Mathews is projected to see more action as a rookie than last years starter Darren Sproles.
After an outstanding high school career, Mathews was recruited by a number of Pac-10 and Big 12 schools. However, He decided to stay close to home and attend Fresno State. He is also a longtime fan of the San Diego Chargers and will certainly be working hard to earn his spot fulfilling his boyhood dream of playing for the Chargers.

The Spectacle and Winners and Losers For NFL 2010
The NFL Draft has just taken place for 2010 and as ever it has thrown up some interesting results. The ‘Draft’ is the annual event where the 32 NFL teams get the chance to select newly eligible college football players. Some of the basics of the rules require that all players have been out of high school for two and half years or more and that they must have at least 3 years of college experience.
As for how the actual draft works, the order in which NFL teams get to choose is essentially the reverse of how they finished the previous season. Therefore the teams that performed worst have the first chance to select players from the draft and those that performed the best choose last. There are a few exceptions, for example the Super Bowl contenders end up right at the bottom of the list and get last pick. New teams to the NFL get first pick. The rules aren’t quite this simple, but it gives the basic idea.

2010 NBA Draft
Every June the NBA draft brings two rounds of excitement to television. It is much better than the NFL draft because the NFL takes two whole days to complete it. It gets really boring and no one can watch the draft for 16 straight hours. There are two young stars that look like they could be the number one pick now. Evan Turner and John Wall both are very good.
John Wall is the point guard at Kentucky and many think he will be the first player taken. He is fast and a great ball handler that can score well too. Many teams need a guard to run the offense and he would be perfect. Right now the New Jersey Nets are in last place and could win the first pick in the NBA lottery.
Evan Turner is another great player that is consistently producing. He is a good scorer and a very good rebound player as well. He can play a big guard or a small forward and gives many defenders match up problems with his size. He is a strong defender that is getting better every year he plays.
